A Clockwork Orange, what do you think would be appropiate age to read the novel?

I'm just curious, due to hearing how unappropiate and violent it is.I was wondering what people would think is a right age to read it. Do you think it more depends on how a person can handle it. Like, how they comprehend it? I havn't read it yet, but im going to.
