Is telling your children that Santa is real a sin against God?

knowing how long little children hold to that believe, I think is wrong. I brought my children up telling my children up saying I am santa. Some would say that was wrong, but it was not a matter to me of sin, but giving credit to an object or man I did not agree with. I guess it was similar to my mother, she us to lay everything we had on the chairs and we knew her being a single mother who bought it, and was glad she shared what she could and did not expect more than that.
