Harvest Moon DS Cute Question!! Need Help!?

I need help. In HMC, I upgraded my axe and my hammer to Mythic, but no matter how long I hit a Stump or a Boulder or a Big Stone, I can't get any wood chopped or any stones to disappear or go into my rucksack.
