My b/f has been fighting a fever since last Friday and today it went down but, now he has the poops?

does this mean whatever he has is ping?? He caught this from me but, I did not have diarrhea. He also has a nasty cough and is coughing up phlegm. He has not gone to a doctor b/c he refuses to take any type of drug. He is just letting his own immune system fight this off.
