Creaky Floors - Best Way to Quiet?

Use screws every 6" on center of the floor joist. If you have to use nails, use "Ringed" nails. Ringed nails don't pull up easily. Screws don't need to be wood screws. You can use #8 x 1 1/2" drywall screws for faster work with a screw gun.
