When we Christians see a potential conflict between science & the Bible, should we first question our ideas...?

Remember that science is observing, not inventing. Because it is observing, then interpretation can be placed upon that observance. If one desires to be in step with God, then they will come at the observing with the bias that God is true. But if they do not consider God to be the source of truth, then they will bring man's opinions as truth and ignore the wisdom of God, considering what they think to be right as wisdom even though it is opposite to the truth of God.
